I’m not sure about y’all, but this September felt like it came busting in through the front door, like a neighbor inviting themselves over the moment you return from vacation.

And we’re barely halfway through the month.

Sometimes when I feel the growing stress of changing times (e.g., work gets busy and takes up more of my mental capacity), I want to avoid tackling the stress head-on and resort to busying myself with social media.

Honestly, it’s not a healthy way to cope.

Watching a few cat videos isn’t going to ruin you, but if you’re finding yourself scrolling for hours on end, you’re wasting your time. That’s time that you could be using to rest, to plan, to create. Because even if you end up using your time for what society considers “non-productive” endeavors like hobbies, at least they will restore you.

This is your wake up call.
