Eggs or coffee? You pick. š„āļø
This edition: Letās choose the first rabbit hole to dive into. Plus, we need a social media detox.
Hey friends, today marks a new experiment with the newsletter, and I need your help!
Instead of linking to random things that I find on the internet, I want to try doing what I do bestādiving into rabbit holes and sharing that knowledge with yāall.
Iād appreciate it if you voted in the poll below for next weekās edition. Please and thank you. š
Have a great week, folks! Be well.
āConnie
P.S. The main image was generated via AI on Craiyon, with the prompt ārabbit jumping into a holeā.

For a bit more context on the first two topic options:
Aesthetics of eggs: Does the yolk color really matter? What about shell color? And what does a āheritageā egg mean, anyway?
Ecology of coffee: Are we doomed to a shortage? Are there environmentally friendly alternatives that we should consider?
Other (Let me know if you have any particular topics youād like me to cover. Iād love to hear from you!)
For realsies: if you need a social media detox, look no further

Iām not sure about yāall, but this September felt like it came busting in through the front door, like a neighbor inviting themselves over the moment you return from vacation.
And weāre barely halfway through the month.
Sometimes when I feel the growing stress of changing times (e.g., work gets busy and takes up more of my mental capacity), I want to avoid tackling the stress head-on and resort to busying myself with social media.
Honestly, itās not a healthy way to cope.
Watching a few cat videos isnāt going to ruin you, but if youāre finding yourself scrolling for hours on end, youāre wasting your time. Thatās time that you could be using to rest, to plan, to create. Because even if you end up using your time for what society considers ānon-productiveā endeavors like hobbies, at least they will restore you.
This is your wake up call.
